What is Assisted Living?
Assisted Living is a residential option for seniors who want or need personal care assistance in a comfortable, secure environment. Residents can choose from several levels of care services to fit their individual needs.
When is Assisted Living appropriate?
Assisted Living is the right choice when a senior or his/her family realizes that professional assistance in a residential setting is appropriate. There may be a change in living conditions, medical or physical status, or a desire to no longer live alone.
Is “Assisted Living” another name for nursing home?
No, nursing homes provide nursing care for people with medical or physical conditions that require skilled medical intervention and attention. Assisted Living is an appropriate alternative to nursing care for those who do not require complex medical services.
What special services does Eastridge Senior Living provide?
Residents may receive a variety of personal care services including bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication monitoring/administration, as well as social and activity programs to promote wellness and balance in life. Other services include housekeeping and laundry, transportation, and three full meals daily in our dining room.
Are Short-Stay services provided?
Yes, when a caregiver’s schedule requires them to be away or a senior feels the need for special assistance, short-stay care is an attractive short-term option. Some seniors use a short-stay visit to help determine whether or not they would like to join our community as a permanent resident.
Can I bring my own furniture?
Certainly, residents are encouraged to personalize their private apartment with their cherished belongings from home.
How are fees based?
Fees are based on your choice of available apartments and the level of assistance you want and need. The level of assistance required is determined through a collaboration of discussion with the resident and family, staff assessment of needs, and an evaluation by your physician.
Our base rate includes three healthy meals daily, snacks and beverages, weekly housekeeping and laundry, scheduled transportation, planned activities and social events, and much, much more.
